1911 Encyclopædia Britannica/'Amr-Ibn-Kulthūm

 

"`AMR IBN KULTHŪM", Arabian poet, author of one of the Mo`allakāt. Little or nothing is known of his life save that he was a member of the tribe of Taghlib and that he is said to have died of excessive wine-drinking.
